Six Ways to Experience the Village
From the Sales Pavilion to the cave route, follow the guest journey through Grotta's Christmas Village — mountain evenings, warm interiors and the highland setting it transforms.
Your visit begins at the Sales Pavilion, where payment is verified and your QR wristband is issued. Live caroling is the first festive moment of the evening, immediately after entry.
Enjoy à la carte dining at the Frosted Restaurant, hot wine and festive drinks at Elf's Bar, and BBQ, pilau, waffles and seasonal sweets across the outdoor food cluster — all through your QR wristband.
Write a letter at Santa's Office, enjoy films and stage activities at the North Pole Cinema & activity tent, join EZfun's craft activities and interactive digital games, or let the children loose on the playground, bouncy castle and Nativity scene.
Pool access is part of the Village experience, subject to capacity, supervision and safety requirements, with a children's pool for younger guests. Beyond the water, the sports cluster offers space to play and move through the evening.
Stay overnight and experience the fullest version of Christmas at Grotta. Enjoy the festive atmosphere into the evening, wake up in the volcanic highlands and make the celebration part of a memorable Musanze escape.
Grotta Resort guests receive complimentary access to the Christmas Village. Village consumable credit isn't included automatically — load or top up your QR wristband on arrival before spending on food, drinks, products or activities and experiences.
Hotel guests park within the hotel grounds. Village day visitors use the designated external Village parking area — please follow signage and parking marshals.

What is Grotta Christmas Village?

How much is the ticket?
RWF 50,000 for both adults and children — there is no reduced child ticket price.
What does the ticket include?
Access to the Village plus RWF 30,000 in consumable credit loaded onto a QR wristband. The remaining RWF 20,000 is the access value.
How do I receive my wristband?
Once your payment is verified at the Sales Pavilion, you're assigned a unique QR wristband with your consumable credit loaded onto it.
How do I pay vendors inside the Village?
Present your QR wristband — the vendor scans it, confirms the amount with you, and deducts it from your balance.
Can I pay a vendor directly with cash, Mobile Money or a card?
No. Vendors don't take payment directly from guests — all purchases run through the QR wristband.
Where can I top up my wristband?
At any authorised cashier or top-up booth. The maximum total wristband balance is RWF 1,000,000.
Will I see my balance after a purchase?
Yes — your balance is shown before and after every deduction, with a full transaction record.
What if my wristband is lost?
Report it immediately to the official support desk so it can be blocked. After investigation and verification, the balance can be transferred to a replacement wristband.
Can unused credit be refunded?
At the end of your visit, you can request a refund of any verified remaining balance through the authorised refund point.
